Sodexo Thailand Marks 14th Year of “Stop Hunger” Initiative in Thailand and celebrating 30th year of global action against hunger and supporting over 100 million people worldwide
Ayutthaya, July 2026: Sodexo Thailand, the leader in Food and Services, shaping better everyday experiences at every moment in life, headquartered in France, continues its commitment to fighting hunger through its annual “Stop Hunger”initiative, now in its 14th year in Thailand. This year’s initiative coincides with the 30th anniversary of Sodexo’s global mission to combat hunger. Since 2015, the "Stop Hunger" network has reached and supported more than 100 million people worldwide, collaborating with all sectors to build strong communities and sustainably improve quality of life.
Ms. Thuy Ngo, Managing Director of Sodexo Thailand and Vietnam, said: “For 30 years globally and 14 years here in Thailand, our core mission has been to bring hope and opportunity to communities by tackling hunger and sustainably elevating the quality of life. The power of collaboration among our employees, business partners, and local communities clearly demonstrates that businesses can drive true, positive social change. Sodexo remains fully committed to expanding these partnerships to foster a better, more equitable future for all."
This year, Sodexo Thailand's Stop Hunger initiative organized a community outreach program at Khotchawek Wittaya School in Bang Sai District, Ayutthaya Province. The school provides education from Kindergarten 2 to Grade 6 and serves over 70 students. The event was warmly welcomed by Ms. Urailuck Kijtaywee, School Director, and Ms.Aoythip Thipsutr, Senior Deputy District Chief Officer of Bang Sai District.
Over 120 employee volunteers and business partners participated in the initiative, working together to enhance the school's learning environment and improve students’ quality of life. Activities included providing lunch for students, cleaning and renovating the school kitchen, upgrading playground areas, improving lighting systems, repainting and repairing school buildings, and developing vegetable gardens to promote sustainable food sources and better nutrition for students. In addition, Sodexo Thailand donated essential supplies and educational support worth more than THB 300,000, helping to strengthen educational opportunities and student development programs.
Today, nearly 735 million people still face hunger worldwide, while more than 2 billion experience food insecurity - including in developed countries, where inflation and economic instability leave entire communities increasingly vulnerable. The scale of the challenge has never been greater. So has the urgency to act.
