Corporate Responsibility at Sodexo
Corporate responsibility is both an imperative and a challenge for every organization, and collaborative practices are an essential improvement tool for all partners. Our commitments to corporate responsibility are a solid advantage for our clients and suppliers, who can rely on our experience to help them achieve their own sustainability goals.
Identifying the Main Challenges in Corporate Responsibility
In 2019 Sodexo carried out our second materiality analysis with the support of Business for Social Responsibility*. It was conducted in response to large-scale social, societal, and environmental problems, as well as changes in the market and stakeholder expectations.
The results of the materiality analysis showed an increase in the importance of climate change mitigation, healthy and sustainable diets, food waste reduction, and diversity and inclusion. These results have also allowed us to optimize the implementation of initiatives and manage the risks associated with the findings of the analysis.
Our Commitments and Goals - Better Tomorrow 2025
Today, choosing responsible growth means pursuing and continuing to make the best possible choices, as well as focusing on safety, health, and respect for the environment. We need to improve the way we take care of our employees, the food and services we provide, and our actions as corporate citizens.
Better Tomorrow 2025 guides our work and orients our progress on the most important issues. Some of these concerns our business directly, while on others, we can have an indirect impact.
Better Tomorrow 2025 follows the guidelines of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs were launched in 2015. They set worldwide goals in 17 key areas that governments, corporations, and society must take into account in order to make the world a more equitable, fair, and sustainable place by 2030. All of our initiatives are aligned with these goals.
