August 6, 2026:  Sodexo Thailand, the leader in Food and Services, shaping better everyday experiences at every moment in life, headquartered in France, has partnered with Paolo Rangsit Hospital to strengthen the local economy and support community enterprises by incorporating “Hom Pathum” rice sourced from Ban Bueng Sombun Community Enterprise in Pathum Thani Province into nutritious meals and beverages served within the hospital. The initiative, launched under the concept "From Local Fields to Meaningful Meals," demonstrates how responsible sourcing can create shared value by connecting local agricultural communities with high-quality food services.

This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to promoting sustainable local development while enhancing healthy dining experiences for hospital patients, visitors, and staff. The partnership features premium Hom Pathum rice cultivated by Ban Bueng Sombun Community Enterprise, renowned for its fragrant aroma, soft texture, and freshness. The rice is milled only upon order to preserve its quality, ensuring that the value created at the source is delivered to every meal.

Ms. Thuy Ngo, Managing Director,  Sodexo Thailand and Vietnam, said, “At Sodexo, sustainability is not simply a destination,  it is embedded in the way we do business. We believe that responsible sourcing has the power to create positive impact far beyond food procurement. It helps generate economic opportunities for local businesses, farmers, and communities while strengthening sustainable supply chains.  As a global leader in food services, we are committed to creating value throughout the entire food ecosystem. Every meal should deliver more than great taste, it should also contribute to stronger local economies and improve the livelihoods of farming communities. Our collaboration with Paolo Rangsit Hospital marks another meaningful step in connecting the value created by Thai farmers with nutritious and meaningful meals for everyone we serve."

Miss Jirawan Phonket, Operations and Business Administration Director, Paolo Rangsit Hospital, said, “As a hospital that has grown alongside and continuously served the Pathum Thani community, we believe that quality healthcare extends beyond medical treatment. It also encompasses promoting a better quality of life and strengthening the communities we serve. Sourcing high-quality ingredients from local farmers and producers is one of the key ways we ensure our patients and visitors receive fresh, safe, high-quality meals while also creating income and opportunities for local communities. Our collaboration with Sodexo Thailand is therefore more than the development of healthy menu offerings. It is about building a sustainable ecosystem that connects the hospital, food service provider, local farmers, and the wider community, enabling them to grow together. We believe that every meal should deliver more than good nutrition; it should also contribute to driving the local economy and creating shared, long-term value for the people of Pathum Thani."

Sodexo's chefs and nutritionists have transformed Hom Pathum rice, which has a medium-to-low glycemic index (GI), into a range of creative and nutritious menu offerings that combine culinary innovation with locally sourced ingredients. Signature dishes include Indian-style Chicken Biryani served with Ajad, Hom Pathum Rice Croquettes, Hom Pathum Brûlée, and Iced Hom Pathum Rice Milk. These specially curated menus offer delicious, nutritious dining experiences while channeling economic value back to local farming communities with every meal served.

The collaboration between Sodexo Thailand and Paolo Rangsit Hospital demonstrates that responsible procurement is about more than selecting high-quality ingredients. It is about building a sustainable ecosystem that connects community producers with consumers, using purchasing power to drive positive social and economic impact.
