Bangkok, 9 October 2026: Sodexo Thailand, a global leader in food services and integrated facilities management, reinforced its offshore services expertise by sharing practical knowledge and operational best practices with employees of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) at the “Sodexo Best Practice Sharing”, held under the concept “Beyond Service: Human Touch and Technology for Safer, Smarter Operations.” The event highlighted how Sodexo combines people-centric care with technology to enhance safety, efficiency, and operational continuity in offshore environments.

Offshore operations present unique challenges, from remote locations and complex transportation requirements to the need to support personnel around the clock. Drawing on extensive hands-on experience, Sodexo shared its expertise across key areas including workplace safety, food quality and safety, workforce health, inventory management, and logistics. Today, Sodexo supports operations across 22 offshore rigs in the Gulf of Thailand, reflecting the company’s proven capability to deliver integrated services in demanding offshore environments.

Khun Thuy Ngo, Managing Director of Sodexo Thailand and Vietnam, said: “Great service begins with understanding the needs of the people we support. In an offshore environment, every detail matters,  from nutritious, high-quality food and clean accommodation to workforce health and the reliable delivery of essential supplies.  By combining our people's expertise with technology, we can strengthen both workforce care and operational management. This knowledge-sharing session with PTTEP is an important opportunity to build on our collective experience and further develop services that create long-term value for both employees and the organization.”

The knowledge-sharing session was led by Khun William Vowell, Business Development Director and Head of Energy & Resources Operations, together with Khun Kittisak Rakthai, Associate Director, E&R Segment Lead, Sodexo Thailand, who emphasized the importance of building a safety culture rooted in a Zero Harm Mindset. This commitment is reflected in Sodexo’s milestone of 15 million working hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI), celebrated last year across production platforms, drilling rigs, support vessels and onshore operations in Thailand. Through systematic training and risk assessments, supported by Sodexo Amarit (Thailand) Limited’s management systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and GHP, the company strives to deliver quality, safe and verifiable services.

Integrated Service Management and Food Safety

In service management and food safety, Sodexo shared its end-to-end approach, covering workforce planning, nutritionally balanced menu design, supplier selection, ingredient inspection, transportation, and appropriate storage. Food safety controls also address potential contamination, allergens, and foreign materials, while housekeeping and laundry services support offshore personnel's daily comfort, hygiene, and well-being.

Strengthening Workforce Readiness

To support workforce readiness, Sodexo also shared its approach to maintaining a drug-free workplace, including screening procedures and laboratory confirmation where required. The company also presented its Crew Health Management System, a digital platform that uses dashboards to monitor employee health status and provide medical examination alerts, helping ensure personnel are fit and ready before offshore deployment.

Supporting Business Continuity Through Smarter Logistics

Logistics and supply-chain readiness are equally critical to offshore operations. Sodexo operates a warehouse in Songkhla Province with dry, chilled, and frozen storage capabilities to support the delivery of food and essential supplies to offshore locations in Southern Thailand.

The company also showcased its Digital CCU Management system, which enables teams to monitor the status and availability of cargo-carrying units through a digital dashboard. This improves transport planning, equipment readiness, and coordination based on each offshore site's requirements.

Embedding Sustainability into Offshore Operations

Sodexo’s service development also aligns with its Better Tomorrow 2028 sustainability roadmap, which promotes responsible sourcing, more efficient resource use, and reduced food waste.

By combining operational expertise, international standards, technology, and a strong focus on people, Sodexo continues to strengthen its role as a trusted partner to the energy sector, supporting workforce well-being while helping clients build safer, smarter, and more resilient operations.
