Srettha Engages with Leading French Companies to Attract Investment and Drive Thai Economic Growth

The French Foreign Trade Advisors in Thailand recently hosted an exclusive dinner, led by Mr. Arnaud Bialecki (2nd row, 4th from right), President and Managing Director for Southeast Asia, Sodexo. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Srettha Thavisin (center), former Prime Minister, and senior executives from over 10 leading French companies, including Airbus, LVMH, Jim Thompson, and Pernod Ricard.

Participants exchanged views and recommendations on driving the Thai economy. Key discussion points included supporting the Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA) model, improving the tax refund system for clarity and verifiability, promoting the arts through tax deduction measures, reviewing tax rates for highly skilled foreign professionals to strengthen Thailand’s position as a regional business hub, and addressing labor shortages in the service sector. The dinner was held at Jim Thompson Restaurant, Bangkok, in a warm and informal atmosphere, reflecting the strong cooperation between Thailand and France in advancing economic progress.
