Sodexo is committed to a 'World Without Plastic Waste” and celebrates Earth Day, donating over 30,000 plastic waste items to Wat Chak Daeng, Samut Prakan Province.
Sodexo, a local unit of the France-based global leader in food and integrated facilities management services for improving the quality of life, led by Ms. Sirikanlaya Yaklai (center), Business Development Director, representative to donate over 30,000 plastic waste items from the collaboration of employee and customers from various operating sites to Wat Chak Daeng, a temple in Samut Prakan Province as part of “Recycle for Life” led by Phrakhu Baidika Tanuphat Atipanyo (on the right side.)
These plastic wastes will be recycled and creatively crafted into new products for further use, such as Buddhist monk robes, T-shirts, bags, hats, and fuel. This initiative promotes community livelihoods and income generation from selling these products. Additionally, it reaffirms Sodexo's commitment to a “World without Plastic Waste” campaign, aiming to reduce plastic usage by 50% by the year 2024, while also commemorating Earth Day this year.
